Locomotive Audio - Model 14B Compressor - KMR Demo Room

Locomotive Audio Model 14B is a single-channel valve compressor that offers the fast attack of UA 175B with the grainy saturation of Gates Sta-Level. Its distinct vintage tone will add rich mid-range presence and excitement to your source. Created by Locomotive founder Eric Strouth, build quality is excellent, combining 1950s construction with premium components throughout and reliable modern manufacturing standards. Model 14B can also be used as a character-adding line-level amplifier (up to 30dB gain) by turning the Attack knob to the “Off” position. There’s also a side-chain filter (70-350Hz) and LA-2A type VU meter calibration potentiometer. The result is not simply a “me too” reimagining of a vintage design, but cleverly chooses stages from much-loved classic compressors to create something quite different. 00:00 - Intro 00:04 - Drums 01:06 - Acoustic Guitars 01:52 - Bass Guitar 02:41 - Technical Specs For more info on Locomotive Model 14B: https://kmraudio.com/products/locomotive-audio-model-14b-vacuum-tube-compressor *** UPDATE *** Locomotive have replaced the Cinemag transformers with an improved module.
