Ladies and gentleman, behold: the all new, all analog, all powerful Clariphonic MS! This magical equalizer not only expands on the features and capabilities of the original Clariphonic, it also extends the functionality of every other piece of gear in your rack while sporting the same eye-popping, silky smooth sound that made the original a desert island mix buss EQ for thousands of engineers worldwide. (People’s eyes really do pop open the first time they hear this eq for themselves). Clariphonic MS includes the most popular user-requested features from the past 7 years plus a few nobody thought to ask for, including 41-step detented pots for fast and precise recall, a single-switch relay-based Master Bypass, and a new Cut mode on the Focus band which gently softens and darkens harsh upper-mids the way analog tape used to. But the heart of the new Clariphonic MS is a state-of-the-art Mid-Side processing, which doesn’t just unleash the power of MS processing on the Clariphonic: rear-panel pre-eq Mid and Side inserts allow you to use any processor in your rack in MS mode – any compressor, any eq, even colored preamps and stereo effects units – before dusting the result with the Clariphonic’s unique magic. Omega Transformer 458a Finally... Tube Emulation That Actually Sounds Like Real Tubes https://vimeo.com/201371470 Omega Transformer 458a is Kush's first foray into true tube emulation, and for me it represents serious next-level distortion. It is far and away the warmest, smoothest, and most 'alive' distortion plugin I have in my arsenal, and its richness and sparkle even at subtle settings surpass a few of my favorite analog tone-boxes I've owned. This Omega is based on a mostly unsung hero of the tube preamp world, the Altec 458a, not quite obscure but nevertheless unknown to most. It has a fat tone that craps out in a very delicious way, getting intensely crusty but never harsh, turning cymbals from brass to gold, and gluing bass into a molten fiery blob of love. The most interesting thing to my ears is how well it captures the unique 'tube sag' when confronted with bass transients while driven hard. Riding just on the edge of this effect can have a profound impact on the character and movement of a sound, turning something limp into something animated and alive, with a velvety top-end presence that can't be duplicated using conventional eq techniques. You can subscribe to this (and every other) Kush plugin for just $9.99 a month. Or, purchase and own the Omega Transformer 458a for $29. Available now in 32/64 bit AU/VST/AAX. http://www.thehouseofkush.com/plugins Enjoy!

The Hammer EQ is now a plugin, the first of many thanks to an amazing new alliance: A-Designs Digital...by Kush! This thing has officially become my all-time favorite mix buss and mastering eq, I’ve already redone the mastering on the last two songs I mixed just to get this thing’s fat bottom. The hype: Hammer is a hybrid solid-state eq with a fat tube output stage whose mythical top end sheen and generously thickened low end quickly earned it a permanent place on mix busses around the world. Me, I’m particularly partial to its smooth, completely bite-free midrange—something that's difficult to find in any EQ, let alone in a plugin. Try a little bump at 50Hz, 800Hz, and 15k, your mix will noticeably pop out of the speakers. That's called 'Subtle Vintage Points", one of over 60 custom UBK presets that I hope will bring a lot of magic to a lot of tracks in the near future. Hammer DSP utilizes the same custom, proprietary 4x oversampling algorithm we developed for Electra DSP and Clariphonic MkII, so you know it’s gonna sound sweet up top. Hammer DSP is $149, iLok2 only (cue the complainers!) and it’s available for 32/64 Mac AU/VST/AAX and Win VST/AAX. It's an amazing time to be making music! http://www.thehouseofkush.com/plugins Gregory Scott - ubk
